Abstract

A tridecadeoxynucleotide of the formula EQU dCCTTCTGGAACTG, is useful as a primer in the enzymatic synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) on messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) matrices. The new tridecadeoxynucleotide is obtained by linking suitable partially protected oligonucleotide blocks, particularly two suitable oligonucleotide fragments, e.g. by linking a suitable tetramer to a suitable nomaer, using a condensing agent.
