Abstract

Novel thallium promoted iron catalysts are described as being useful in CO hydrogenation processes utilizing CO/H.sub.2 mixtures for selectively producing C.sub.6 -C.sub.11 liquid hydrocarbons, containing C.sub.6 -C.sub.11 aromatic hydrocarbons and only very small amounts of C.sub.23 + hydrocarbon waxes.
