Abstract

The present invention is directed to a process for improving the storage stability of a composition containing PA1 (a) a blocked polyisocyanate component prepared by blocking the isocyanate groups of an organic polyisocyanate with a blocking agent comprising a di-C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl and/or -alkoxyalkyl malonate and PA1 (b) a component comprising a compound containing at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogens, which comprises incorporating a stabilizing amount of a compound having monofunctional reactivity towards isocyanates into the composition by adding said compound to component (a), component (b) or to the mixture of components (a) and (b). The present invention is also directed to the storage stable composition produced in accordance with the above process.
