Abstract
A device for cutting paper, cardboard, and similar materials in which the material to be cut is advanced to the desired extent along a cutting table by a feed mechanism and in which an intermediate cut is carried out both when the edges are trimmed and subsequent to one or more main cuts. The device eliminates the necessity of manually removing the waste paper resulting from edge trimming and intermediate cutting. This is made possible by a cutting table consisting of a front part (1) on which the trimmed material (20) rests and a rear table (2) on which the material (3) to be trimmed rests, with the front (1) and rear (2) parts sliding apart to leave a gap (10).
