Abstract
A treatment system for natural leaf tobacco wrapper is provided for comprising in combination: PA0 (a) a humectant/plasticizer component; PA0 (b) a preservative component; PA0 (c) a solvent carrier selected from the group comprising water and water/alcohol mixtures; and PA0 (d) optionally, a polymeric film-forming component selected from the group comprising synthetic gums, natural gums and protein film-forming compositions.
