Abstract
Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen, cyano or cyano(lower)alkyl; PA1 R.sup.2 is hydrogen, cyano, carboxy, carbamoyl, guanyl, (lower)alkoxyimino, hydrazinocarbonyl, (lower)alkylaminoimino, ##STR2## with the proviso that one but never both of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is hydrogen; and the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof exhibit H.sub.2 -receptor antagonist and gastric secretion inhibition activity.
