Abstract
Biologically active 6-keto- and 6-hydroxy-8-azaprostanoids having the formula: ##STR1## wherein A is O or ##STR2## R is CO.sub.2 R.sup.4 or CH.sub.2 OH; R.sup.1 is H, CH.sub.3, or C.sub.2 H.sub.5 ; PA1 R.sup.2 is H, CH.sub.3, or F; PA1 R.sup.3 is CH.sub.3 or CF.sub.3 ; PA1 R.sup.4 is H, C.sub.1 to C.sub.12 n-alkyl, branched chain alkyl, or cycloalkyl, or a physiologically acceptable metal or amine salt cation; and PA1 n is an integer from 3 to 8.
