Abstract

The invention provides compositions which comprise, in an aqueous, alcoholic or aqueous-alcoholic vehicle, at least one compound of the general formula: ##STR1## in which R denotes a monohydroxyalkyl radical containing from 2 to 6 carbon atoms or a polyhydroxyalkyl radical containing from 3 to 6 carbon atoms. These dyeing compositions make it possible to obtain, on the hair, yellow shades with a very high chromaticity and possessing very good fastness to light and to washing.
