Abstract

The invention relates to new compositions for increasing the cold resistance of cultivated plants. These compositions contain as active ingredient at least one compound of the general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of 2 to 5 and R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each stand for hydrogen or C.sub.1-5 alkyl, or an acid addition salt thereof in an amount of 0.01 to 70% by weight, together with a conventional diluent and/or additive. The plants treated with the compositions according to the invention are more resistant to cold and frost.
