Abstract
Described are isopropyl tetramethylindan musks defined according to the generic structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each acetyl or methyl with the provisos: PA2 (a) one of R.sub.3 or R.sub.4 is methyl; PA2 (b) when R.sub.4 is methyl, then R.sub.3 is acetyl and PA2 (c) when R.sub.4 is acetyl, R.sub.3 is methyl and organoleptic uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma of perfume compositions, colognes and perfumed articles.
