Abstract
The invention provides a phase change heat storage, light and temperature control building panel comprising a sealed housing having at least two walls transparent to visible light delimiting at least one intermediate space filled with a liquid-solid phase-change heat-storage material, wherein the material is substantially transparent to visible light in solid and in liquid phase, adsorbs heat while melting, releases heat while solidifying and undergoes phase change in a temperature range of about 5.degree.-28.degree. C. The invention also provides a method of day light and temperature control and night temperature control in dwelling units and plant enclosures utilizing the panels of the invention.
