Abstract
Bisfluoroxydifluoromethane is prepared by the continuous reaction of carbon dioxide and fluorine in the presence of a cesium fluoride catalyst. The reaction is preferably conducted at a temperature in the range of from about -50.degree. C. to about 200.degree. C. and a mole ratio of CO.sub.2 :F.sub.2 in the range of from about 0.2 to about 0.95.
