Abstract
Novel substituted phenoxypropionates of the formula ##STR1## in which Ar represents the group ##STR2## or the group ##STR3## in which Y represents a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl group and PA1 b is 1 or 2, PA1 R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, PA1 X represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group, PA1 a and m each independently is 1 or 2, and PA1 n is 0, 1 or 2, PA1 and their use as herbicides. Novel intermediates of the formulae ##STR4## in which formulae R, X, m, n and a have the meanings given above, PA1 Z.sup.1 is a halogen atom and PA1 m is a hydrogen atom or an alkali metal atom.
