Abstract

Symmetrical compounds of the formula, ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl or C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, PA0 R.sub.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy or --NHCOR.sub.6, PA0 R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 alkyl, PA0 each of R.sub.4 and R.sub.5, independently, is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl or hydroxy C.sub.2-4 alkyl, PA0 R.sub.6 is C.sub.1-4 alkyl, --NH.sub.2, --NC(C.sub.1-4 alkyl) or --N(C.sub.1-4 alkyl).sub.2, PA0 Hal is fluorine, chlorine or bromine, and PA0 X is either C.sub.2-10 alkylene, C.sub.3-10 alkenylene, mono- or dihydroxy C.sub.3-10 alkylene optionally containing one or two hetero atom linkages C.sub.5-7 cycloalkylene optionally substituted by 1 or 3 C.sub.1-4 alkyl groups, PA0 or X together with ##STR2## form a piperazine ring, with the proviso that X is other than unsubstituted C.sub.2-10 alkylene when R.sub.2 is --NHCOR.sub.6, salts thereof and, mixtures of such compounds, which compounds are useful as fibre-reactive dyestuffs for dyeing and printing hydroxy group-containing and nitrogen-containing organic substrates, e.g., leather and textiles comprising or consisting of natural or synthetic polyamides such as wool, silk and nylon or natural or…
