Abstract

Organopolysiloxanes of the formula: EQU (CH.sub.3).sub.3 Si--(OSiCH.sub.3 R.sup.1).sub.a --(OSiCH.sub.3 R.sup.2).sub.b --OSi(CH.sub.3).sub.3 wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 alkyl group and R.sup.2 is the group--(CH.sub.2).sub.d COO (CH.sub.2 CHZ--O).sub.e --R.sup.3 ; and wherein R.sup.3 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, Z is hydrogen or methyl, a is the whole number 28 to 36, b is the whole number 5 to 12, d is the whole number 8 to 12, and e is the whole number 1 to 24. These organopolysiloxanes are useful as antifoaming agents and are especially useful in aqueous paint compositions.
