Abstract
This invention relates to novel, 1,4-diaminocyclitol derivatives of antimicrobial and immunostimulating activity of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 are each amino or protected amino, X.sup.4 is hydrogen or hydroxy, PA0 R.sup.1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, and PA0 R.sup.2 is higher alkanoyl permissably substituted with hydroxy, amino, azido, epoxy, protected hydroxy or protected amino, or higher alkenoyl, or higher alkylcarbanoyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
