Abstract

Aryl N-oxalyl-N-methyl-carbamates of the general formula ##STR1## in which X represents an alkoxy, alkenoxy, alkinoxy, aryloxy, alkylthio, alkenylthio, alkinylthio or arylthio radical, each of which may be optionally substituted, or represents a radical of the general formula --N R.sup.3 R.sup.4, wherein R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are identical or different and represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl or aryl radical, each of which may be optionally substituted, PA1 or the radicals R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, together with the N atom to which they are bonded, form an optionally substituted heterocyclic ring, and PA1 R.sup.1 represents an aryl radical which is optionally substituted, are novel and find use as pesticides, especially for combating insects, acarids and nematodes.
