Abstract

N,N'-substituted polymethylene diamines of the formula: ##STR1## in which: A is a hydrocarbon radical from C.sub.3 to C.sub.5 in a straight or branched chain optionally containing one and two double bonds and possibly substituted by one or more hydroxy radicals; PA1 X is CH or nitrogen; PA1 n is an integer from 2 to 6; PA1 R.sub.1 is hydrogen, or alkyl from C.sub.1 to C.sub.5 ; PA1 R.sub.2 is hydrogen, alkyl from C.sub.1 to C.sub.5, cycloalkyl from C.sub.5 to C.sub.7, or phenyl optionally substituted by one or more fluorine or chlorine, and PA1 B is: PA1 phenyl, naphthyl, benzofuranyl, benzothionyl, benzodioxolyl, benzodioxanyl, benzodioxinyl, .DELTA.3-chromenyl, thiochromenyl or chromanyl, each of them optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, alkyl or alkoxy from C.sub.1 to C.sub.5, or methylene-dioxy, or PA1 a radical of the formula: ##STR2## in which R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 which may be the same or different, each represent hydrogen or phenyl optionally substituted by fluorine or chlorine. These compounds and physiologically tolerable acid addition salts thereof may be used as medicines especially in the treatment of all kinds of tissular hypoxia.
