Abstract
A galvanized high strength steel wire for use in stranded steel core of an aluminum conductor, steel reinforced is disclosed. The steel composition thereof consists, by weight, essentially of: PA0 C: 0.4-1.2%, PA0 Si: not more than 2.0%, PA0 Mn: not more than 2.0%, PA0 Al: not more than 0.1%, PA0 Cr: 0-5.0%, PA0 Cu: 0-1.0%, PA0 Ni: 0-1.0%, PA0 V: 0-0.5%, PA0 Nb: 0-0.2%, PA0 Ti: 0-0.2%, PA0 Zr: 0-0.2%, with the balance iron with incidental impurities of which the amounts of P, S, N and oxygen are: PA0 P: not more than 0.025%, PA0 S: not more than 0.015%, PA0 P+S: not more than 0.03%, PA0 N: not more than 0.010%, PA0 Oxygen: not more than 0.004%.
