Abstract
Foodstuffs containing sweetness inhibitors having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.7 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, R.sub.8 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl and wherein R.sub.9 is the group ##STR2## wherein R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 hydroxyalkyl, hydroxy and COOH; and the non-toxic salts thereof.
