Abstract
Herbicidally active novel substituted phenylsulfonyl guanidines of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is a phenyl or phenoxy group, each of PA1 R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is a lower alkyl or lower alkoxy group, and PA1 R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group, and novel intermediates therefor.
