Abstract

1,2,3,4-Tetrahydropyridines of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is optionally substituted aryl or heterocyclic, PA0 R.sup.2 is an organic radical, PA0 X is a nitrile or ester, PA0 R.sup.3 and R.sup.5 are identical or different and each represent hydrogen, a straight-chain or branched or salts thereof with physiologically tolerated acids are antihypertensives.
