Abstract
Hydrolysis-resistant, thermoplastic molding compositions are made from high-molecular weight, linear polybutylene terephthalate and 0.1-10 mole %, based on the amount of the dicarboxylic acid component of the polyester, of a salt of Formula (A) EQU [(-O.sub.3 S).sub.x R--CO.sub.2.sup.-).sub.2 ]M, (A) wherein PA0 M is an alkali or alkaline earth metal cation, PA0 R is an aromatic or cycloaliphatic residue or an aliphatic residue of 2-20 carbon atoms in the carbon chain, and PA0 x is 0 or 1.
