Abstract

Dentifrice formulations containing monoalkyl and dialkyl ethers of dianhydrohexitols in the form of toothpaste, mouthwash, chewing gum, confections, toothpicks and dental floss are effective in the treatment of oral surfaces and cavities to reduce irritation and plaque accumulation caused by the action of bacteria.
