Abstract
In the process for recovering arsenic trioxide from scrubbing water used to scrub the flue gas of sulfide ore smelting, the crude arsenic trioxide crystals collected from the scrubbing solution which contains plaster as an impurity is purified by treating it with hydrochloric acid of a concentration of 50-150 g/l at a temperature not higher than 30.degree. C.
