Abstract
A method of producing a highly purified oleic acid is disclosed, which comprises the steps of: PA0 (a) separating and removing the resulting precipitated crystal after the cooling of a solution of oleic acid containing fatty acid mixture and urea in an organic solvent; PA0 (b) separating the resulting crystallized crystal after the partial saponification of the organic solvent solution; and PA0 (c) subjecting the crystal to an acid decomposition.
