Abstract
Disclosed are unsymmetrical squaraine compounds of the following formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl heterocyclic, benzyl, and halobenzyl; and X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, halogen, carboxy, and hydroxy; and photoresponsive imaging members having incorporated therein the aforementioned squaraine compounds.
