Abstract
In a method of treating waste water obtained in a direct washing with water of raw gas in a plant for a gasification of gas, the waste water is first settled in a settling tank and a resultant concentrated slime-containing water is subjected to a multi-stage oxidation with air or oxygen only at the temperatures of between 20.degree. C., and 80.degree. C., and the slime-containing water obtained after the oxidation is conveyed to a filtration system or a slime-depositing container.
