Abstract
The invention is a process for the recovery of protic acids from a medium which comprises PA0 (a) contacting a medium containing a protic acid with a reversible base under conditions such that the protic acid and the reversible base form a salt; and PA0 (b) exposing the salt of the protic acid and the reversible base to temperatures at which the salt dissociates liberating the protic acid.
