Abstract
Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which: X represents at least one lone-electron pair donor group; PA0 A represents an oxygen or a sulfur atom, or an optionally substituted imino or methylene group; PA0 R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; PA0 n represents a number equal to zero or to one; PA0 B represents a COOH or COOM group (M designating a cation); PA0 Y represents either a lone-electron pair donor group, or an alkyl group R' of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; PA0 Z represents PA0 either an optionally substituted hydrophobic group R", R" designating an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl group of 1 to 12 carbon atoms; PA0 or a lone-electron pair donor group on which a hydrophobic group R" is fixed; are useful as sweetening agents.
