Abstract

A temple end piece for a temple of a spectacle frame comprises an essentially straight first segment in the longitudinal direction of the temple, a connecting segment running downward from the first segment, and a design segment intended to fit on the head and/or behind the ear. The longitudinal design segment is carried by the connecting segment and supported, whereby this support occurs at the longitudinal center or at the lower end of the design segment, so taht at least the upper half of the design segment juts free upward toward the first segment. The connecting segment, the design segment and the transition region between the two are at least partially formed out of such material or even provided with additional elastic regions that the design segment can be deflected against elastic force. This will cause a comfortable, cushioned fit of the design segment on the ear of the wearer of the spectacles and will also cause the design segment under fairly heavy charging to be deflected in such a way that the reacting forces caused by the deflection will restore the spectacles back to their original position and not be dislodged.
