Abstract
Hard spherical bleaching particles are disclosed whose composition is an intimately dispersed agglomerated core mixture of an active halogen oxidizing material, an inorganic diluent salt and a binder. The cores are coated with a mixture of from about 70-85% of a C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 fatty acid soap and from about 15-30% of a C.sub.12 -C.sub.14 fatty acid soap. A method for bleaching substrates as well as a process for preparing the bleach particles are disclosed.
