Abstract

The present invention is a quick coupling connector for use in connecting and disconnecting hoses adapted for conducting liquids. The connector includes a unitary molded plastic male connector body having a flow through passage extending therethrough. The body includes a guide cylinder, a lock recess adjacent to the guide cylinder, and a seating cylinder adjacent to the lock recess. The seating cylinder has an annular seal groove. An inner body O-ring is positioned in the seal groove. A unitary molded plastic female connector body having a flow through passage selectively mateably receives the male connector body. The female connector body includes a guide tube receiving the guide cylinder, a lock tube having a lock finger aperture, and a seating cylinder connected to the guide cylinder and sealingly engageable with the inner body O-ring. A mounting tube is connected to the seating tube. A tubular hose nose is mounted in the mounting tube. A locking sleeve is mounted on the mounting tube for holding a hose mounted on the hose nose.
