Abstract

There is prepared an aqueous stable suspension of a water insoluble silicate capable of binding calcium ions and it is used for the production of washing and cleaning agents. The suspension contains in addition to water components A and B wherein component A is a silicate capable of binding calcium and having the formula EQU (Cat.sub.2/n O).sub.x -Me.sub.2 O.sub.3 .multidot.(SiO.sub.2).sub.y I and component B is a dispersing agent comprising a mixture of at least two fatty alcohols polyglycol ether based on isotridecyl alcohol or another aliphatic C.sub.13 alcohol and ethylene oxide having the following properties: PA1 (a) Fatty alcohol polyglycol ether having 4.5 to 5.5 EO units ______________________________________ Turbidity point DIN 53917 56 to 60.degree. C. Solidification point +4 to -25.degree. C. Viscosity at 50.degree. C. 13 to 28 m Pas Density at 50.degree. C. 0.94 to 0.96 g/ml ______________________________________ PA1 (b) Fatty alcohol polyglycol ether having 6 to 8 EO units ______________________________________ Turbidity point DIN 53917 66 to 74.degree. C. Solidification point +12 to -16.degree. C. Viscosity at 50.degree. C. 18 to 28 m Pas Density at 50.degree. C. 0.9…
