Abstract
Polymers comprising two the more recurring units of formula ##STR1## wherein A.sub.1 is an aromatic bridging group PA1 each K.sub.1 is independently the radical of a coupling component, PA1 E is an aliphatic, aromatic or aromatic heterocyclic bridging radical, PA1 each R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is independently C.sub.1-4 alkyl substituted C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.3-6 alkenyl or substituted C.sub.3-6 alkenyl or PA1 both R.sub.1 's together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached and/or both R.sub.2 3 s together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a morpholinium, piperidinium or pyrrolidinium group, and PA1 each A.sup..crclbar. is independently a non-chromophoric anion, are useful as dyes, particularly for dyeing paper and leather.
