Abstract

3-(3-iodopropargyloxy)-propionitrile of the formula EQU IC.tbd.C--CH.sub.2 --O--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --CN is prepared by iodination of propargyloxypropionitrile. The 3-(3-iodopropargyloxy)-propionitrile is used as an active compound in microbicidal agents.
