Abstract

A color photographic recording material developable by heat treatment and comprising at least one binder layer, which contains photosensitive silver halide, optionally a substantially non-photosensitive silver salt and a color providing compound (dye releaser), can be improved in regard to the Dmin/max relation and in regard to sensitivity by addition of a compound corresponding to formula I EQU R.sup.1 --S--CO--O--R.sup.2 in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently of one another represent alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl.
