Abstract
The invention relates to a dyeing composition for keratinous fibres containing at least one 4-bis(.beta.-hydroxyethyl)amino-2-nitro-1-(N-substituted amino)benzene compound in which the substitution is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl or .beta.-hydroxyethyl; this composition contains as co-solubilization agent at least one dye of formula (II) ##STR1## in which formula: R.sub.2 denotes a C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 hydroxyalkyl group; PA0 R.sub.3 denotes a C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 hydroxyalkyl group; with the proviso that, if R.sub.3 =CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OH, R.sub.2 is necessarily an .alpha.-hydroxyethyl or hydroxypropyl radical.
