Abstract

A highly electroconductive carbonaceous film having an electrical conductivity of at least about 1000 s/cm is prepared by thermally decomposing a diethynylbenzene in a carrier gas composed of an inert gas at a temperature of about 950.degree. C. to about 1050.degree. C.
