Abstract

Pyrazoles of the general formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, are prepared by electrochemical oxidation of 2-pyrazolines of the general formula ##STR2## in the presence of an ionic halide.
