Abstract

A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective among of PA1 (a) a photosynthesis-inhibiting herbicidally active compound, and PA1 (b) a synergistically effective amount of a carbamate derivative of the formula (II) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl or optionally substituted phenyl, PA2 R.sup.2 is alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted cycloalkylalkyl, PA2 R.sup.3 is hydrogen, --CO--OR.sup.4, --CO--CO--OR.sup.5 or --CO--CO--NR.sup.6 R.sup.7, PA2 R.sup.4 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl or optionally substituted phenyl, PA2 R.sup.5 is alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl, and PA2 R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl or alkenyl.
