Abstract
Chromium free cleaning compositions for cleaning aluminum and aluminum alloy surfaces comprising PA0 A. from 0.2-4 g/l ferric ion and PA0 B. sufficient sulfuric and/or nitric acid to produce a pH of 2 or less. The invention also relates to compositions containing from 0.001-0.5 g/l of fluoride ions.
