Abstract
Quinoline compounds having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a phenyl group or an aromatic heterocyclic group, Z is an aliphatic heterocyclic group or an amine, and R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a carboxy-protecting group. The compounds here disclosed have antibacterial properties.
