Abstract

New substituted .beta.-carbolines of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.3 is hydrogen or a non-carboxyl based substituent, and R.sup.4-9 have various meanings, PA2 are valuable pharmaceutical products with long lasting action on the central nervous system.
