Abstract
Process of preparation of sulphonyl alkane halides by the reaction between an alkane, sulphur dioxide and a halogen, in the presence of ultraviolet light in the gaseous phase; the gaseous mixture of the reactants contains at least 4 moles of SO.sub.2 per mole of hydrocarbon.
