Abstract

A hair care preparation containing a hair conditioning effective amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R.sup.1 is a C.sub.12-16 -n-alkyl; PA0 R.sup.2 is a C.sub.1-4 -n-alkyl; PA0 is a C.sub.1-4 -hydroxyalkyl; PA0 R.sup.4 is a C.sub.1-4 -n-alkyl or a C.sub.2-4 -hydroxyalkyl; PA0 A is an inorganic or organic acid anion; and PA0 n is the valence of said anion.
