Abstract
A non-aqueous lithium electrochemical cell which includes a halocarbon cade depolarizer which is 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,1,2-trichloroethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, 1,2-dichloro-1,1-difluoroethane or mixtures thereof and a cathode catalyst which is PA0 copper, PA0 rhodium, PA0 palladium, PA0 cobalt phthalocyanine, PA0 nickel phthalocyanine, PA0 iron phthalocyanine, PA0 a cobalt tetraaza-[14]-annulene, PA0 a nickel tetraaza-[14]-annulene, PA0 a iron tetraaza-[14]-annulene, PA0 a cobalt porphyrin, PA0 a nickel porphyrin, PA0 a iron porphyrin, or a mixture thereof.
