Abstract
There is disclosed a light-sensitive silver halide photographic material having a silver halide emulsion layer containing a coupler on a support, comprising at least one of the metal complexes having a quenching constant of singlet oxygen of 3.times.10.sup.7 M.sup.-1.sec.sup.-1 or higher and at least one of oil-soluble dyes, and which may further comprise at least one of the magenta couplers represented by the formula (I) shown below: ##STR1## wherein Z represents a group of non-metal atoms necessary for formation of a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, and the ring formed by the Z may have substituents; X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent eliminable through the reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent; and R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
