Abstract
A method of modulating immune responses in mammals by blocking immune complex binding to immunoglobulin Fc receptors is described, comprising administering a peptide comprising a portion selected from the amino acid sequence PA1 -Pro-Asp-Ala-Arg-His-Ser-Thr-Thr-Gln-Pro-Arg- Specific uses in reducing immune complex mediated inflammation or tissue destruction and in reducing the human allergic response are disclosed.
