Abstract
A primer composition composed of 1 to 100 parts by weight of a chlorinated carboxyl group-containing .alpha.-olefin polymer and 100 parts by weight of an organic solvent therefor, the improvement wherein PA1 (i) said chlorinated carboxyl group-containing .alpha.-olefin polymer is a post-chlorination product [C] of a graft-modified propylene polymer [B] having a chlorine content of 10 to 35% by weight, said graft-modified propylene polymer [B] having an acid value of 6 to 187 mg-KOH/g-polymer and obtained by grafting an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride to a propylene polymer [A] having an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.], determined at 135.degree. C. in decalin, of 0.6 to 10 dl/g and comprising 70 to 100 mole % of propylene and 0 to 30 mole % of an .alpha.-olefin other than propylene, and PA1 (ii) said solvent is an organic solvent boiling at about 60.degree. to about 200.degree. C.
